PromEUregion: a taste of Europe

‘A taste of Europe’, it sounds almost poetic. We are all familiar with French Boursin, Italian Bertolli, Irish Guinness...But which of us can say that they have recently sampled a typical ‘lentejas’ from Valladolid in Spain? Or drunk a shot of Slivovica, the inspired spirit of Buchlov in the Czech Republic?
This is precisely what the transnational Leader+ project ‘PromEUregion’ is striving for – to enable the general public to find out about farm and local products from the different, and varied countryside regions in Europe, and thus to take the typical regional identities to heart.
You only have to look at the many project partners to see how contagious the idea has become – as many as 10 Leader areas across the whole of Europe have undertaken to carry out the aims of this project. From Spain to Luxembourg, from the Czech Republic to Wales,…in all of these places it will be literally possible to sample and enjoy the countryside!
